X1000MP Rotary Arm Wrapper
When loads are unstable, unusually tall, or space is at a premium, the X1000MP rotary arm wrapper is the ideal solution. Rather than rotating the pallet, the arm does all the work, moving around a completely stationary load. This makes it perfectly suited to wrapping products that are light, heavy, extremely tall, or too fragile to place on a moving turntable. The X1000MP features easy electronic adjustment of arm rotation speed, carriage travel speed, and the number of revolutions at both the top and bottom of the load

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What types of pallet wrapping machines are available?
Pallet wrapping machines broadly fall into four categories: turntable wrappers, where the pallet rotates on a powered platform; robot wrappers, where a self-propelled machine travels around a stationary pallet; rotary arm wrappers, where a rotating arm moves around a completely stationary load; and fully automated systems, which integrate with conveyor lines to palletise and wrap without manual intervention.
The right choice depends on your throughput, load type, available space, and level of automation required. Our team can help you identify the best solution for your specific operation. -
What is the difference between a turntable and a robot pallet wrapper?
A turntable wrapper rotates the pallet whilst the film carriage travels up and down a fixed mast. It is the most widely used type of pallet wrapper in the UK and is ideal for operations with a fixed wrapping station. A robot wrapper is a mobile, self-propelled machine that circles the pallet, which remains completely stationary. Robot wrappers offer greater flexibility, can be used in multiple locations around a warehouse, and are particularly useful where space or layout makes a fixed machine impractical.
-
What is power pre-stretch and why does it matter?
Power pre-stretch is a system that mechanically stretches the film before it is applied to the pallet, rather than relying on the resistance of the load. This increases the yield from each roll of film, reducing material costs, and produces a more consistent and secure wrap. Our machines offer power pre-stretch rates of up to 380%, meaning a single roll of film goes significantly further compared to a standard brake stretch machine.
-
What is a rotary arm wrapper used for?
A rotary arm wrapper is the preferred choice when loads are too unstable, too light, or too tall to safely place on a rotating turntable. Because the load stays completely stationary throughout the wrapping process, there is no risk of items shifting or toppling. It is also a practical choice where floor space is limited, as no ramp or pit is required. The rotating arm travels around the load, applying stretch film evenly from bottom to top.
-
Do you service packaging machines from other manufacturers?
Yes. Our engineers are experienced in servicing and repairing most major brands of end-of-line packaging machinery. Whether you have a strapping machine, heat sealer, carton taper, or pallet wrapper from another manufacturer, we can help. We hold a comprehensive stock of spare parts and offer free quotations for all repair and service work.
-
How quickly can an engineer visit?
Our aim is to have an engineer on site within 24 to 48 hours of your call. We employ our own engineers directly, meaning we are not dependent on third-party contractors and can respond quickly when breakdowns occur. If you are unable to wait, or if you are located further afield, you are also welcome to send your machine to our Derbyshire workshop for a faster and more cost-effective turnaround.
-
Do you supply stretch film and other packaging consumables?
Yes. We hold a wide range of packaging consumables in stock, including machine and hand stretch films, PP and PET strapping, woven polyester strapping, shrink films, protective packaging materials, hand tools, and accessories. Consumables can be ordered through our online shop or by calling our team directly on 01773 606580.
-
Can I arrange a service contract for my packaging machinery?
Yes. We offer tailored service contracts to suit your individual requirements. These can include scheduled planned maintenance visits to keep your machinery running at its best, as well as provision for ad-hoc callout cover in the event of an unexpected breakdown. A service contract gives you peace of mind and helps avoid costly unplanned downtime. Contact us to discuss the options available.
